The best thing about this black bean burger recipe is, its super easy!
Have you ever took a bite into something and just said WHOA possibly followed by an expletive?
That is the reaction we all had when we first tried this black bean burger recipe! I love making up my own sauces to go along with meals so, at the end of this recipe I will include the garlic aioli recipe I used and added to my burgers. These also reheat very well the next day and I’m all about 2 meals out of 1!
How to make Black Bean & Quinoa Burgers
Ingredients
1 can black beans
1 cup uncooked Quinoa
1/2 onion
1 flax egg (tbl ground flax seed +3 tbls water let sit for 10 mins before using)
1/2 cup bread crumbs
seasonings
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Mix flax egg and let sit 10mins
Prepare quinoa according to directions
Drain canned black beans as much as possible and then mash with a fork. I left a few whole beans in mine.
Mix together all ingredients and season with your favorite seasonings. I used garlic and cajun seasonings. I put that on everything its my go to!
Form burger patties and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Don’t forget to spray with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
Bake 400 degrees for 20 mins and then flip and cook 20 mins more. When done serve with burger toppings of choice and enjoy!
EASY vegan garlic aioli
3/4 cup vegan mayo
4 cloves garlic minced
3 tbl lemon juice
add salt and pepper to taste
Mix ingredients in a bowl and then let sit in fridge at least 20mins before using.
